    Hi friends, Lots and lots of mails from readers after publishing TNPSC Group 4 notification is about How To Apply For TNPSC Group 4 Exam? This is a most descriptive page with all information on How To Apply For TNPSC Group 4. If you have more doubts even after reading this post please comment below.     General Instructions:
    1. Candidates should apply only through online in the Commission’s Website or other website specified by the TNPSC. Currently ( is the active TNPSC Commission’s official website to apply.
    2. Before applying, Scan your photograph and signature. Photograph and Signature should be edited to the format and size that TNPSC asks for. Photograph should be between 20 KB to 50 KB and Signature should be from 10-20 KB. If you are not good at editing pictures visit my previous postwhere I have mentioned how to crop and resize the photos to TNPSC recommendations. Note that this step is very imporatant as many of my friends got rejected for not submitting photograph in the format they have asked for.
    3. A valid E-mail ID and Mobile Number is mandatory for registration. TNPSC has made some process fast and easy by making it high techie. TNPSC won’t communicate with the canditates through posts and so only E-mails are used for communication. So have an active E-mail ID, and only submit the E-mail ID which you will be using often. That E-mail ID should be kept active till the declaration of results. TNPSC will send Hall Tickets for Written Examination, Interview Call Letters through the registered e-mail ID only.
    4. Please note that all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Post Applied, Communal Category, Date of birth, Address, Email ID, Centre of Examination etc. will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after the last date specified for applying online. Certain fields fixed and cannot be edited. Candidates are hence requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.
    5. The candidates who wish to receive SMS should register their mobile number in the application.
    6. First Do One time Registration in TNPSC Website. The uses of One Time registration are many. You will be asked to pay Rs.50 to register for this and while applying for TNPSC exams you need not pay application fee which will costs you around Rs.25 for each exams. You have to fill a form in One Time registration and the information given can be used while applying for exams and so all the information will be retrieved and will be filled in the application automatically so you will feel easy to apply. If you do one time registration you can use that for five years for free to apply in competitive exams without paying application fees. Registering in this will automatically find that whether you are eligible to apply for the post or not.
    How To Apply For TNPSC Group 4:
    1. First go to the TNPSC’s website or
    2. Click “Apply Online” button at the top of the webisite to open up the Online Application Form.
    3. In the Radio Button select the name of the post/service for which you wish to apply.
    4. If you have One Time Registration ID, please enter the One Time Registration ID and password and so all the basic Information like Name, Father’s name, Qualification, uploaded by you already will get filled automatically in the form. You can also add or remove the details.
    5. If you haven’t registered in One Time Registration form, please enter all the required particulars without skipping any field.
    6. Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature. See the instructions mentioned above to re-size images and apply for the post without getting rejected.
    7. Please select the mode of payment (Online Payment/Offline Payment).
    8. If you want to pay fees through the online payment gateway an additional page of the application form will be displayed. That will be based on our selection to the mode. If it is credit card, Debit card or Net banking. Always prefer for net banking as this will be hassle free. there won’t be any tension. and even if your money got debited but TNPSC website failed to load or in case of power failures your money will be back in 3 to 4 working days.
    9. After submitting your payment information in the online application form, please wait for the intimation from the server, DO NOT press Back or Refresh button. If you do, then you will be charged twice.
    10. If the online transaction has been successfully completed a Application Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should note their Application Number and Password for future reference in respect of the post applied for. Please save this safely. Upload it in so that you will never miss it.
    11. For offline mode of payment candidates have to select either Post Office or Bank.
    12. Click on the “SUBMIT” button to submit the Application form.
    13. Candidates will be provided with Application Number and password. Please note down the Application Number and password.
    14. On Submission system will generate the payment challan which the candidate need to take print out and go the nearest branch of Indian bank to make the payment
    15. Collect the candidate’s copy of the Fee Payment Challan from the Branch. Please check that the challan is properly signed and the details of Transaction Number, Branch Name and DP Code Number, Deposit Date have been noted in the challan by the Branch authorities.
    16. Online Application Registration will be taken as successful one, only if the payment is made either in the post office or in the Indian Bank within two days from the date of registration.
    17. Giving your Application Number and password, Candidates can download their application and print, if required. You have been successfully Registered.
    18. You need not send the printout of the online application and any other certificates or documents to the Commission. The certificates will be verified only when you are called to come up for next stage of selection.

Please apply for the posts as soon as possible and don’t wait for the last date as there may be problem with the TNPSC server or bank server since many will be registering on the last date that would end up with failure in server/transactions. Also if you end up in tie with other candidate in the score the preference will be given to candidate who applied first for the post.
    3. In case you do not have a valid personal E-mail ID, you should create a new E-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account. *Free Email account is available in our domain too*
    4. There is a provision to modify the submitted application. if there is any mistakes in application Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct their details in the Online Application. But This modification facility will be available up to the last date for applying online for the particular post.
    5. Request for change in any particulars in the Application Form cannot be done after the last date to apply. After the last date you can’t apply or change details in application.
