You must be aware that HCL is corrosive, fuming, poisonous, highly acidic solution of hydrogen chloride and Sodium hydroxide, caustic, strong alkaline used in cleaning of drain. if consumed by human beings, HCL corrodes mucous membranes, esophagus, and stomach causing dysphagia, nausea, circulatory failure and death.
On the other side, Sodium Hydroxide if taken results in vomiting, prostration, and collapse.
But why is that if you mix these two highly dangerous in the right proportions before ingesting them we will not have any poisoning symptoms.

    Answer:

Hydrogen chloride combines with sodium hydroxide to form common salt (sodium chloride) and water.
    HCl + NaOH - NaCl + H2O
