For Typist: The Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or) Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil. II. For Steno Typist Gr-III: The Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in Shorthand Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or) Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil. III. Computer Qualification (Typist & Steno Typist Gr-III): The Candidate must be passed the Computer Certificate Course in Office Automation awarded by the Technical Education Department.
